Manufacturer warranty
Every new Blue Seal appliance sold by Blue Seal Online is covered by a 12-month parts and labour manufacturer warranty from the date of delivery. Engineer call-outs are booked directly with Blue Seal's UK service network.
What's covered
The standard 12-month manufacturer warranty covers faults arising from defective materials or workmanship under normal commercial kitchen use:
- • Labour costs for an approved engineer's visit to your premises.
- • Replacement parts fitted during the visit.
- • Return-to-base repair where an on-site visit is impractical.
- • Electrical, gas and control-system faults that develop under normal use.
What's not covered
The warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items, commissioning mistakes, or damage caused by the site environment:
- • Consumables — gaskets, seals, lamps, filters, thermocouples past expected life.
- • Limescale damage where the incoming water supply is above manufacturer limits and no softener is fitted.
- • Impact, misuse, unauthorised modification or repairs attempted by third-party engineers.
- • Installation faults — incorrect gas type, wrong voltage, missing isolation or ventilation.
- • Routine cleaning, descaling and planned maintenance.
- • Cosmetic marks reported more than 48 hours after delivery.
Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a suitably qualified engineer (Gas Safe for gas appliances, a competent electrician for three-phase kit). Keep the commissioning sheet — Blue Seal's service team may ask for it before dispatching a warranty engineer.
How to make a claim
- 1
Gather the details
Find your order number, the appliance model and serial number (on the rating plate), and a short description of the fault.
- 2
Send us the details
Submit the above via our contact form and select Warranty claim. We'll acknowledge within one working day and log the claim with Blue Seal's UK service desk.
- 3
Engineer attends
A Blue Seal approved engineer contacts you to book an attendance slot, typically within three working days of the claim being logged.
- 4
Repair on site
Most faults are resolved on the first visit. If a specialist part needs ordering, the engineer will confirm a return date before leaving.
Please do not open the appliance or attempt a repair before the engineer's visit — unauthorised work can invalidate the remaining warranty.
Extended warranty
An additional 12 or 24 months of parts-and-labour cover is available on most Blue Seal ranges, fryers, ovens and combi steamers. Extended warranty must be added within 30 days of delivery — send us your order number and we'll quote cover for your specific model.
